Build a change brief

Use one numbered list with a reference image or specification for every requested change. Mark each item as required or optional. Include destination market, target quantity and launch date because feasibility depends on the full program.

Approve a representative sample

The sample record should identify every approved item, including color reference, logo size, component models, battery label, charger plug, accessories and packaging. Photograph key details and log any deviation.

Change-control ruleAfter sample approval, new requests should be issued as written revisions with cost and schedule impact confirmed before production.

Questions for the quotation

  • Which changes are available on the selected platform?
  • Which items affect minimum quantity or tooling?
  • Are component alternatives subject to availability?
  • What evidence will be supplied for approval?
  • How are revisions controlled after the sample?
